Coronavirus

Most places are asking everyone to stay home as much as possible (self quarantine) to slow the spread of covid-19. But if you are like most, it’s been so long since you have been at home for such a long period of time, you need a little help coming up with something to do. Boredom sets in very fast.

Here are some suggestions for something to do and get your mind off what is happening:

  • Make a Pandemic Playlist. Use upbeat songs.

  • Write a good old fashioned letter. Encourage someone by showing them that you are thinking of them.

  • Talk on the phone. You know you want to. Call someone you haven’t spoken to in a while and recharge old friendships.

  • Organize small areas. Drawers, closets, etc.

  • Write a Haiku for Mother’s Day ( or someone special).*

  • Learn calligraphy.

  • Get a friend or two. Turn on a soap opera. Mute the sound. Make up your own dialog.

  • Look at yourself in the mirror, Draw a self portrait.

  • Coloring books are not just for kids.

  • Call your Grandparents or someone of old age. Ask them about their life. Record the conversations.

  • Get a free trial of a streaming service and binge watch all you can before it expires.

  • Ask God to help those affected by the virus.
